There are around 60 members of the society.

 

Each meeting, apart from the December one, has a lecture on an historical or local subject. The December meeting is a Christmas celebration with entertainment and refreshments. In May, members meet for an annual dinner in a local restaurant and in May and June the Society has outings to places of interest.
