Most of the groups mentioned have used the Centre for many years as affiliated members of Whickham Community Association, which is now defunct. Whickham Community Centre is now a Charitable Incorporated Organisation.

Others like Weight Watchers hire the Centre for their meetings three times a week and have used the Centre for many years. A drop-in group run by the N.H.S. for people wishing to give up smoking also uses the Centre.

The Centre is also available on Saturdays and Sundays for private parties, coffee meetings and various fund raising events.

Local Councillors also fully support the Community Association.
